Touch Monitors. Dinerware has been tested with ELO and Microtouch. We promote off-the-shelf and Open Standard Hardware.
Integrated Card Processing. Dinerware interfaces with Mercury, PC Charge, and Heartland’s Exchange gateway. Installation and configuration of all processing software is supported by the manufacturer. Dinerware supports ‘keyboard wedge’ card readers and magnetic card readers.
Network. Dinerware works over the standard TCP/IP networking that is installed by default with Windows 2000, XP Pro and Home. Multiple-terminal setups require use of a broadband router device with built in ‘DHCP server.’
Receipt Printers and Cash Drawers. Dinerware exclusively supports Epson compatible serial interface printers. A printer-connected cash drawer is optional. In addition, if there are 2 cash drawers connected to one workstation; a splitter cable can be purchased from the cash drawer manufacturer. USB to Serial adapters are used for adding additional printers when a port is not available.
The ‘brain’ and workstation computer. The brain can double as a workstation so that you don’t have to install an additional ‘back office’ computer - and save the cost of an additional system An attached workstation can function with a minimum of 512 MB of RAM.
