Interfaced EFTPOS
Interface your EFTPOS terminal with your point-of-sale system and save yourself from having to re-key data, as well as ensuring accurate sales processing.
EFTPOS hardware
You can normally rent your EFTPOS unit through your bank. If not, you can rent directly from Ingenico. Your alternative is to purchase your unit direct from an authorised Ingenico reseller. The hardware to be used depends on your software.
MYOB RetailManager
MYOB RetailManager supports the Ingenico NPT700 and NPT710 series. The terminal connects to your computer via a serial cable and port. The serial cable is available directly from your bank. MYOB currently only supports National Australia Bank, Westpac, St George and ANZ. You will need to contact your financial institution for information about connecting a terminal to the institution through which you choose to perform your EFTPOS transactions.
Microsoft Retail Management System
Microsoft RMS supports the Ingenico NPT710 series and the Ingenico PX328, which must be PC-EFTPOS compliant. The NPT710 has an in-built printer and a single unit modem. The PX328 prints on your sales docket printer and requires an external P66 Dialup EFTPOS modem. For multiple EFTPOS units you will require the P66 EFTPOS modem irrespective of whether you choose the NPT710 or PX328. Both the EFTPOS unit and the P66 modem require a serial port, so one PC will need at least 2 serial ports. Microsoft RMS currently supports National Australia Bank, Westpac, St George, ANZ, BankWest and Commonwealth. You will need to contact your merchant facility to obtain Merchant ID's, Terminal ID's and Tran$end ID's where applicable.
